obviously some sloppy fuck left their orange peels on the ground and Hillary Clinton happened to be skating by and slipped on them. Not to hard to understand. She still smilin doe
I’m basically copy/pasting my tweet but: My take is that although it’s definitely the most stand-out MCU film, Black Panther really flew by and should’ve expanded more on the characters. The “Marvel” things about the film, both action CGI and humor, didn’t really fit into this, ironically, and there was a little more surface level dialogue than I anticipated. The pieces were there, but there should’ve been much more on T'Challa’s growth, and all the major moments happened so suddenly. Michael B. Jordan tho, wow he nailed it. Easily the best Marvel villain so far because he felt so damn realistic for both comic book and real life. I was most worried about Jordan going into this film because I wasn’t sure if he’d capture the villain’s emotions effectively, but jfc. He felt like the main character in this film, which is both good and bad. Chadwick Boseman was a bit underused in my opinion and his growth into becoming king of Wakanda and Black Panther was really really rushed.
Black Panther’s still a must-watch because it’s probably the best comic book take on real life I’ve ever seen. This was definitely more of a family drama than an action film, and I was totally cool with that. Solid 4/5
Good: Michael B. Jordan, visual presentation, character moments
Bad: Not enough Chadwick Boseman, Marvel-ness, rushed storyline

Honestly, take the time to read about these individuals. Remember them. Remember the opportunities that were ripped away from them. Remember the smiles and light they eluded but the terror they endured in their last moments of life. Remember every single thing you read about them and make it a point to fight for a world where this doesn’t become the new normal.
